Question: The following Hadeeth is being circulated via email; The Prophet Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam has said, “Whoever is the first to give another person the news about the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the fire of hell is Haraam for them”. Is this Hadeeth authentic? If it is not, could you explain the warning for those who circulate fabricated Ahadeeth? Answer: We have not come across a Hadeeth in which it is mentioned that the fire of Hell is Haraam upon the first person who gives the news about Rabi’ul Awwal. |

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Saamit (Radiallahu Anhu) that he heard Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) saying; “Whosoever asks Allah for forgiveness on behalf of the Muslims, Allah will grant him/her a reward for every Muslim male and female that he had sought forgiveness for.” (Tabrani, with a sound chain of narrators) NB: We learn from this Hadith that if a person asks Allah to forgive the Ummah, Allah will grant him/her so much of Hasanaat (Thawaab/reward) that equals to the number of Muslims around the globe. The approximate number of Muslims around the globe is estimated to be 1,512,655,647. Imagine, just by making Dua once to Allah to forgive the Muslim Ummah, how much of Thawaab we will earn? |

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: |

The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa salam) said: “There is no prayer more difficult to attend for hypocrites than Fajr and ‘Ishaa. And if they knew what they contain (i.e. good reward) they would attend them even if they had to come crawling.” Narrated by Bukhari |

Narrated Abu Huraira:
I heard Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) saying, “We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews’ (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians’ (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday).”
