How to Spend Ramadhaan

Muslims should plan their schedules for this month, before-hand, so as to spare maximum time for ‘ibadah. Here is a brief list of the acts which should be carried out in Ramadhaan with due care:

  1. To perform every Salaah with Jama’ah in a Musjid (For males). Females should perform their salaah at home.

  2. To wake up a little earlier than the exact time of Sehri and to perform the Salaah of Tahajjud. There is no prescribed number of the Tahajjud prayer. It is better to perform 8 Rak’aats.

Questions & Answers on Fasting

Is it permissible to wear a pain patch while fasting?

A pain patch is used externally, hence, will not invalidate the fast. You may fast in the month of Ramadhaan while using the pain patch. [Mufti Ebrahim Desai]
